You Clearly Didn't Think this Through

Ah the story of my life!

But really in my continual pursuit to rip off any decent blogging idea and turn it into, well, that stuff my neighbor's cat did in my garage the other day, I am prepared to do a book report.

As I remember Riff did a book report once.  Of course he did his report on a book about Open Marriage.  To be fair I don't think he really read the book, I think he admitted that.  I think he did what I usually do and that's read the first and last page and the jacket and then look up a few blurbs on-line.  That's probably what I'll do here.

I think someone like Advizor once did a post about that 50 Shades Book not too long ago.  But now I can't quite remember if he said that he in fact read it or if he was just talking about looking at all the hot ladies who were reading that book.  Speaking of Advizor, check him out this and next week as he will be taking over FFF for the indefinity future!

But anyway, it's in fact that book that I am discussing today!

A Book Report on that 50 Shades Book by Ryan Beaumont

I have to admit I was not really interested in the book.  After all, I really don't read very much.  Why read when you can watch Honey Boo Boo on TV!   :)

But I'm always about the women you know.  And it seems all the chicks really dig this book.  They really dig Pinterest too but I looked at that site and there were no "pins" for chasing MILF's, eating BBQ, or watching college football so I decided to pass.  But this 50 Shades thing seemed like a real winner so I thought I better check it out and try to understand why all these chicks dig it so much. Maybe it could help me in pursuit of those things I couldn't "pin" on Pinterest (namely those hot MILF's)!

So this past weekend since I had time on my hands (God knows I wasn't fightin' that Black Friday crowd at Tyson Square) I went by our neighborhood Target, you know the one 50% of our Net Worth goes to each week and picked up a copy.  Yes Shannon has a bad Target habit that she is trying to get rid of by getting into a bad Wegman's habit!

But I'm just rambling now, let's get onto that 50 Shades Book!

So as I started the book I was not sure how I'd feel.  Was I looking for entertainment or an eduction?  I have to admit I am not really a kinky BDSM kind of guy.  I'm a romantic or perhaps a silly romantic scoundrel in that Rhett Butler mold.  Well really it's just that I have enough trouble getting that dang bra unclasped so I sure was never into tying someone or something up.  But as I said I needed to find out what the fuss was about so off I went.

"How have I gotten myself into this?"  It started out.  Immediately I felt welcome though slightly threatened.  I too was bewildered and looking for answers.

But the tagline alone drew me in as well, "A young free range chick..." and "a dominating, ravenous...." OMG so hot!

Within the first page the writer speaks of the heroine's rescuer laying her gently on a countertop, mesmerizing her with his hands, and coolly asking "you like my collection" as he displays his instruments of pain and pleasure.  Yes this would be educational and entertaining!

I was drawn in, I couldn't stop reading now even if I wanted to.

Each chapter was elegantly and efficiently written.  Each with a sultry story with succulence dripping from each page.  Each escapade was like a lesson on pleasure with simple ingredients and minimal directions to follow.  Each yielding ecstasy to the pallet.
Check out the hot trailer (here)!
And so the pages flew by.  "Dripping thighs," "spanked breasts," and legs bound and tied.  Multiple recipes for spanking, whipping, basting, pounding with the end result of erect appendages, "steamy white (or dark) meat," and "sticky fingers."

Me being a bit of the scoundrel in search of a demure chick to transform was most taken by the Coquettish Croquettes!  Five easy steps to fluffy puffs of juicy breast meat bursting with a slight Creole flavor that always feels so delightful in my mouth!  Yes, I could easily imaging enjoying this Coquette on some elegant inn balcony overlooking Bourbon Street.

Yes "50 Shades of Chicken" is a culinary delight with a lot of fun written transformations surrounding the adventures of our poultry heroine.  The recipes are very easy to follow, simple and succinct, and don't involve a large number of ingredients and none of them will kill you at your local Kroger, Wegmans, Giant, Piggly Wiggly, Publix, or wherever you shop.

Oh, btw the title to today's post is from that Cher Lloyd song that has been so popular recently.  I used to beat drums occasionally back in the day so I like percussion.  I think it's so funny that in this song Cher's screams are a percussion instrument.  Listen, she screams on the 4th beat of every 4th measure!

Yeah I "never had much game...grrrr"

Do I sound like a helicopter?"

Well You Just Might Find You Get What You Need

I am not one to really write "off the cuff" rants on a whim.  I tend to write my posts ahead and do auto-posts.  But recently I have hit a real crisis in life.  For the past several years I have really enjoyed this Classic Country radio station.  They play Johnny Cash, Glenn Campbell, Waylon Jennings type stuff.  I had come across a classic country station once before, I think in Louisville, but obviously it's not a popular genre.  But then again, I'm not exactly a popular genre so we were two peas in a pod.  Bottom line, I loved the station.  Just the other day I noticed it was "dark" and then a few days later I turned it on and heard not the wonderful voice of Dolly Parton but the obnoxiousness of Ke$ha.  Yikes - apparently the station had changed programming.  Sorry, Ryan no music for you!

Anyway, I was listening to a classic rock station today instead and heard that Rolling Stones song and I guess for now that was "just what (I) need(ed)."

But today is not about that, it is about something I am sure you need; a political analysis by Ryan.  What, didn't you see how insightful my bowl game analysis was?  Oh wait, my predictions were pretty awful.  Oh well, I was crunching some numbers and had some thoughts and thought I would share.  Here goes.

So to watch MSNBC and Fox News you would think that politics is all about emotion.  Look at the Republican primaries up and down ebbs and flows.  Just now Santorum took back some momentum in Kansas this weekend and will likely battle Gingrich for the hearts and minds of Dixie in Mississippi and Alabama later this week.  Mitt said it's an "away game" so unless he or Jeff Foxworthy can convence folks down there that he is comfortable with saying "ya'll" and eating biscuits and grits, momentum will shift once again!  I am sure the bandwagon will be back to Santorum and the doomsayers will be after Romney once again.  Although late note Rasmussen polling has Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum splitting the conservative vote so Mitt might in fact get his knock-down punch today!

But reality is that politics may reflect emotion but it is in fact entirely about laws of gravity and motion.  The immovable object or the irresistible force inevitably dominate and win.  And I'm not just talking money it involves organization and ground game.  Like Sun Tsu's Ancient Art of War most political battles are won long before they are ever fought.

I was looking at the Republican Primary numbers this weekend hoping for a brokered convention.  The comedy would be so fun and of course I'm a left of center guy that will certainly vote for President Obama.  But in the numbers I found the immovable object - Romney.

Here they are:

Delegates to Date (before Kansas):
Romney - 415 or 36.3% of assigned delegates needed to win
Santorum - 176
Gingrich - 105
Paul - 47
Huntsman - 2 (likely to go to Romney)

Total = 745 or 34% of total delegates to be assigned

Romney is at 36% of the delegates needed after 34% of the total delegates have been assigned.  He is actually ahead of the pace with his best states ahead.  Delegate rich states like California and New York will only push Romney ahead of his current pace.  States like Kansas, Mississippi, and Alabama will not give Santorum the irresistible momentum to overcome the immovable object.  In fact Santorum just netted a +1 to the delegate count on Saturday because Mitt won in all those resort islands we own in the Pacific (maybe Mitt owns some investment properties there).

Additionally there are 86 unassigned Super Delegates which will mostly go to Romney and Huntsman's 2 will likely move to Romney at the convention.

To date Romney has collected 56% of the assigned delegates.  He need only win 729 of the remaining 1,453 (50%) delegates to win.  Again, at 56% to date he is ahead of the pace he needs to win the nomination with his best states still ahead.

So what that means is get used to Obama vs Romney.  As much as I would love to see the Republicans screw around with nominating someone as dopey as Santorum I do have to say I breath a sigh of relief.  As much as I won't vote for Romney I think I can live with him as President.  I do believe he is a decent and smart man who probably actually reads stuff like the New Yorker and listens to NPR and may consider science as a part of life.  He may be stiff and out of touch but he is not a "knuckle dragger/non-opposable thumber" like the rest of the Republican candidate pool.  Except for Ron Paul, I do like that he has changed the dialogue within the Republican Party around War and aggression.  Other than that he is interesting but spooky weird when he is talking about the Gold Standard and monetary policy.

That being said here is my prediction.  And remember my bowl game predictions that were completely awful so consider the source.

Obama beats Romney like a "wet stepchild"!  Sorry for my southern vernacular.  He may not win in an electoral landslide and may not even eclipse his electoral count of 2008 but I think he will win convincingly in the popular vote.

The Republicans in response will soberly assess that they are out of touch with the populous, right?

Wrong!  They will blame Romney and say once again Republicans never win when they run with a moderate.  They will say that if they had stayed to their convictions they would have inspired the base and won.  There will be second guessing galore and why didn't we talk Christie into running, etc.

Bottom line the Republican take-away will be more gridlock for 4 more years.

Until the next "most important election of our lifetime" (note sarcasm here) in 2016 when Hillary takes on Jeb Bush or as I might say Clinton/Bush II (The Final Countdown)!

Oh well, just some thoughts from someone who doesn't know what the hell they are talking about 50% of the time, is full of *hit 50% of the time, and just doen't have a clue the rest of the time.  :)

Oh and it's March Madness as well I guess I should make some predictions there as well!

My first prediction or rather note of reality.  Did you know that the Thursday and Friday of March Madness are the least productive working days in America!  Yep, a lot of goofing off and watching the scoreboard - sounds like a typical Ryan day.

Here goes (and as always I am using the pure logic of who has the hottest women):

Final Four
South:        Kentucky over Notre Dame; it's the official team of Ashley
West:         Missouri over Michigan State; Show Me Baby
East:          Florida State over Syracuse; can you say Spring Break
Midwest:   North Carolina over Georgetown; some love to the home team but not too much

I like anyone named Ashley,  'nuff said!
Ahh, the pursuit of Academics!
Carolina Girl - best girl in the world!

Championship:   Kentucky over North Carolina 78-75

Potential Upset Alerts:

Notre Dame over Duke:  Notre Dame is a tough team from a tough conference; if they were playing on St. Patty's Day this would be a no-brainer.
New Mexico over Louisville and Michigan State:  I like the Lobos with Steve Alford at coach; no hot chicks at Michigan State (High School musical was set in Albuquerque - does that factor in here?)
Harvard over Vanderbilt:  or should I say Harvard vs the Harvard of the south; a lot of smart guys maybe Harvard still has some of the Linsanity left!
West Virginia over Gonzaga:  Gonzaga is the higher seed but WVU is playing a backyard game in Pittsburg (where is the fairness here?)
Creighton over North Carolina:  UNC is unpredictable and Creighton can shoot the lights out
Belmont over Georgetown:  Hoya's have a propensity to choke early; Belmont always shoots the lights out and Vince Gill is a fan and an awesome bluegrass picker!
St. Mary's over Kansas:  KU is always a good bet to choke at some point in the NCAA.

Tin Roof, Rust!

I've never been a quantity over quality type guy.  But I've basically written my posts for next week and the week after and they only add up to 9 posts for January and I've always written at least 10 posts per month so I'm in need of another post.  So here is some housekeeping to get that 10th post.

Wait a second though, did he just say he prefers quality over quantity?  That must mean he thinks any of this stuff would be considered quality - wow, ego's never cease to amaze me!

OK so I have about 4 points today:

#1 - Wow, I hope nobody put down bets based on my bowl game analysis - I really stunk it up.  But to rebut,  I will say my analysis failed on the following points,

*   Rose Bowl - Got it right on this game, here's to the Quack Attack!

*   Fiesta Bowl - OK 2 points.  First, Stanford find a guy who can kick straight.  Second, I obviously forgot to consider these fine looking Cowgirls!  If I had seen these little chaps I would have picked the Cowboys (girls)!  Hot girls in chaps definitely beats that goofy thing!

*   Sugar Bowl - VT's kickers are on crack too!
*   Orange Bowl -  Missed this little story, WVU Cheerleaders gone wild might have changed things for me (take a look)!  Gives new meaning to that song "Almost Heaven West Virginia (cheerleaders) ......"
*   BCS Championship - I forgot to consider Cajun + New Orleans on New Years = A lot of Hangovers.  Obviously LSU partied too much and forgot to show up.

I still did really good on the Yahoo Bowl pick-um because I aced all the minor stinky bowls!  Tell me how many of you had SMU upsetting Pittsburg in the Clorox Toilet Bowl.

#2 - Under the category of flattery will get you everywhere with Ryan please please consider visiting the attached new blog So Wrong But So Right.  One of the writers had a previous blog and a lot of these stories are from those past episodes.  There is a lot of good hook-up sex and relationship stuff and I know this will be a good one.  Molly, I'm looking forward to seeing more of you as well!  :)

#3 - Omg, did you see that Hostess is going bankrupt!  For the love of god do your patriotic duty and eat as many Twinkies as you can, this American icon must be saved!  And think of this, after the Apocalypse later this year (2012) these little beauties may be the only thing we have left to eat - I think they are shelf stable to the year 2525!  :)

#4 - Today's lyric quote is a shout-out to the B-52's who are celebrating their 35th anniversary.  I sure wish I could catch their anniversary show in Athens on February 9th.

Oh wait..... (another point)

#5 -  So I had this spoof post about Finding Married Guys for Dummies the other day.  So a quick (slightly) sincere bit of advice on that subject.  If you really are looking for a married guy or former married guy or any guy of the pre-owned fashion I give you one bit of advice.  Find a guy who has a great relationship with his daughter.  For if a guy truly loves his daughter (and what daddy doesn't) then he has put at least one women ahead of himself on his priority list during his life.  And if a guy can love at least one woman (his daughter) more than himself perhaps he will be good to another women (you).  Just a thought!  :)

And another:

#6 Is it really hard to talk while you're teabagging?  :)
Thanks for that thought Anderson!

Sorry for all of that but it is a good image of the useless shit I think about on a daily basis!  :)

Remember to Vote Colbert 2012!

Hey wait, I think I mentioned another AM Adventure coming soon - maybe I'll start getting on top of that story on Monday!

Seasons Change with the Scenery

Since college I have always been fascinated by the Generation Theories of Strauss and Howe so I never pass up an article on it, particularly when it talks about my generation, Gen X.  Below is an article I found recently on CNN.com - I thought I would share along with some of my personal experience and beliefs.

But First I have to say "Happy Nigel Tufnel Day," get it!  "This one goes to 11."  So Happy 11/11/11.

I am proud of my generation.  We have become savvy problem solvers because we are sandwiched between two Generational 600# gorillas (the Millenials and the Baby Boomers).  We have to adapt to the tastes of those 2 generations.  Furthermore, as the mid to upper level managers we are tasked to meet the productivity needs of a world that is growing while business is downsizing while constantly keeping up with technology that keeps up viable.

In the end I am glad that this study takes note that in my opinion in speaking about my Generation, Gen X - "the kids are alright!"  Sorry those were Baby Boomer lyrics but all Gen X has to offer is "you gotta fight, for your right, to paaaaaaaarrrrrty!"

As always I love to hear your thoughts!

Study Says Generation X is balanced and Happy (from CNN)

Fight for Your Right to Party!
A generation once labeled "slackers," detached and melancholic has grown up to find out that reality doesn't bite as much it seemed when they were younger.
To the contrary, most of the 84 million Americans ages 30 to 50 are "active, balanced and happy," according to the authors of "The Generation X Report," a research report from the University of Michigan's Longitudinal Study of American Youth.

The release is the first in a series of quarterly reports based on questionnaires, interviews and tests from 4,000 Gen X respondents who have participated in the study since 1987. The study defines Gen X as those born between 1961 and 1981, though others sources tag Gen X as those born starting in 1964.

"We hope that this series of reports will serve to correct some of the misunderstandings and misstatements about Generation X that have appeared in the media," The Longitudinal Study of American Youth says on its website. "Some commentators have characterized Generation X as being less successful than their parents and perhaps less ambitious than their parent's generation."
The study marks the latest focus on Gen X as the cultural spotlight gradually shifts away from retiring Baby Boomers. The analysis bolsters findings in a recent marketing study, "Gen X: Flirting With 40," which stated that Gen X has matured into a group of "technologically savvy, adventurous pragmatists." Recent media coverage of rants and reflections from Gen Xers in Gizmodo and The Atlantic has also generated intense discussion, fueling debate over whether a passing of the torch from Boomers is under way.

The stated mission of the study, which is funded by the National Science Foundation, is to write the history and monitor the future of Generation X. Here's some data from the report that may surprise you:

Myth #1: Gen Xers are slackers.
Reality: Generation X devotes more hours to work than average and pursues continuing education.
-- Compared to a national sample of all U.S. adults, Gen Xers are more likely to be employed and are working significantly more hours above average, according to the study. In Generation X, 86% is employed and 70% devote 40 or more hours to work each week. For those holding a doctorate or professional degree, that number shoots up to 50 or more hours. Also, 79% Gen X women work.
-- Kids from "The Breakfast Club" era weren't so strung out on emotional issues that they passed up learning: Half of Gen Xers have completed a post-secondary degree and 9% are enrolled in continuing education.

Ryan's Reality:  Looking back it seems like the 80's had a lot of business movies where the hero was always working mega-hours to get ahead.  For us Gen X'ers if we worked well beyond expectations there would be monetary reward and more importantly "the future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!"  I went straight through to grad school getting an MBa after a BS in Finance.  I worked full time in grad school to pay for tuition.  Early in my career 80+ hour weeks were the norm.  But thankfully it got me to a station in life where I can coast a bit now.  Although, my spare time is eaten up with my second job of Personal Transportional Specialist for my 2 daughters!  :)

Myth #2: Generation X is hopelessly single and pessimistic about marriage.
Reality: A higher percentage of Gen Xers stay married than Boomers, and most want to be married.
-- Having spent their formative years in the era of growing divorce rates (divorce peaked in 1980) might lead to speculation that Gen X would run away from marriage en masse. In reality, two-thirds of Generation X is married and 71% report having children in the home. Additionally, divorce has been declining since 1996, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
-- 83% of Gen Xers said finding the right person to marry and having a happy family life is very important.

Ryan's Reality:  I have spoken about this before.  There is a lot of socio-economic gravitational pull toward keeping marriages together today.  The economy is #1 and I think for Gen X'ers rebelling against "Me Generation" parents who did often divorce is #2 (although my parents are still married).  I think the other big force is our collective generational devotion to our kids which drives lifestyles that demand 2 incomes.  Simply put, divorce means no private school, no ballet, no soccer, no Disney vacation for the kids and I think that is a sacrifice most of us Gen X'ers are not willing to make.
Myth #3: Generation Xers are disengaged, existential isolationists.
Reality: Gen X is social.
--There's a reason Gen X is called the "Friends" generation. The report states that Gen X has extensive social, occupational and community networks outside of the immediate family. Two-thirds of respondents entertain friends for dinner or participate in group cooking at least once a month.
-- One in 3 Gen Xers is an active member of a church or religious organization, and 29% volunteer in their community.
-- 95% of Gen Xers report talking with friends or family on the telephone at least once a week, and 29% say they do so at least once a day.

Ryan's Reality:  Oh this is easy.  Yeah, Millennials made Facebook edgy and interesting but Gen X'ers made it a marketing and societal force.  Yes, like our Millennial Generation neighbors we like Social networking but I think we still enjoy face to face time.  Hence, Ashley Madison which is a wonderful way to mesh social networking with real time pleasure!  Oh and yes, not all of Ryan's personal time is spent on chasing women on AM, I have spent some time on non-profit and HOA boards - so as a generation I do believe we are community focused.

Myth #4: As former latch-key kids, Gen Xers are wimpy, neglectful parents.
Reality: About 84% of Gen X parents expect their children to earn at least a baccalaureate, and 39% expect their child to earn a graduate or professional degree.
-- 72% of parents of preschool children read to them three or more hours a week, and 83% of parents of secondary school students help with homework.

Ryan's Reality:  Regardless of political philosophy I think as a generation we are very traditional.  Because we were often not shielded I believe we have a strong desire TO shield.  And I think because of the challenges of modern life the family is often a safe haven of retreat in a quickly changing world.  I think the proliferation of cooking shows and interest in cuisine is an example of how we find ways to seek interests/hobbies and personal growth in a way to share and engage with family.

Myth #5: Generation X is depressed.
Reality: Generation X is actually pretty happy.
-Two-thirds of Generation X are satisfied with their job; 24% of these workers rated their job at 9 or 10 on the satisfaction scale.
- On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 meaning very happy, the median happiness score was 8, with 29% of Gen Xers saying they we very happy scoring a 9 or 10.
Ryan's Reality:  I think a lot of Gen X'ers achieved a good place before the economy hit the skids.  We are at a higher level in companies than Millenials so we have a little more job security and yet we are in the middle of careers and at peak productivity so we are a bit more viable than Baby Boomers.  And because of our upbringing we are savvy and tenacious and can problem solve our way to staying in the game.  The Ferris Buellers of the world tend to find ways to stay valuable!  I think despite taking some hits to our 401K's we are going to be OK.  So all things considered a lot to be happy about.  I think the big problem is that we will be on our own for retirement.  We are generationally small so in 25 years nobody is going to be concerned with Social Security the way we currently are with Baby Boomers.

But on the other end of the spectrum if you want to know what love is all about listen to this!  I do have to give you a tear jerker alert though.

We will return you to our countdown on Monday.

I'll Just Sit Tight through Shadows of the Night and Let it Ring for Evermore

A 1970’s song from Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) about calling on an old land line and letting the phone ring and ring because nobody answers.  Such an alien concept, hell that song was written even before answering machines were in vogue!

So here we are now in 2011 and with all these electronic devices still just trying to connect J

So today’s point is more about e-mail rather than telephones although with iPhones, Droids, Blackberries, etc. those lines are certainly starting to blur.  My point is “how many e-mail accounts does it take to have an affair?”

Back many years ago when Shannon was in graduate school I remember her getting an e-mail account at school.  It was intriguing because now a few times a week she could correspond with my dad who also had e-mail back there in the mid-90’s.  I had heard of Lotus Notes a few years back, but this world wide web thing seemed even better!

About a year later we finally got a home computer and signed up for AOL.  And I finally had an e-mail account although it was really Shannon’s and we just shared.  But we really didn’t have anyone to e-mail anyway so what did it matter.  I even used that old AOL address for work for several years.  And that is where things stayed until around 2000.

I didn't actually get a company e-mail address until late 1999 (still using that shared AOL up to that point), just getting in under that Y2K catastrophe (did anyone actually get any fallout).  By then you could get all the news on Yahoo so AOL didn’t seem relevant anymore so we dropped that service and I still just had one e-mail address just like I had one home address – things still seemed normal to a Gen-X child like me.

Through Yahoo I found out about Yahoo Groups.  And one techie friend of mine from high school had started one for my graduating class.  Hearing stuff about old friends seemed cool and you needed a Yahoo account so I signed up.  And oh by the way you got a Yahoo e-mail.  Well, it seemed like it would be good to send personal e-mail by way of a personal address rather than work so it seemed like a good idea.  So I was finally the proud owner of a second e-mail address.  This was kind of like owning a time-share now in addition to my primary home.  And with that new Yahoo account I could now play stupid games like NCAA Tourney pick-em’ and Fantasy Football, etc.

So technology was growing but not yet exponentially.  I pretty much stayed there for several years.

Then Facebook hit around 2006 and I got on the bandwagon.  So now I have my work e-mail, Yahoo, and Facebook.  We now truly have a second home at the beach so to speak!

Then about a year ago (as you know with my blog) I found Ashley Madison.  So now I have work e-mail, Yahoo, Facebook, and Ashley Madison.  Quite a bit to manage, but is it enough to have an affair?

You know the answer - not quite!

You see, I enjoy using my personal Yahoo account at home and I certainly can’t have one of my AM gals send a note to the account I may have open while I’m checking my Fantasy stats!  So I sign up for a second Yahoo e-mail and I can chat as well when I’m doing vital things at work.

So now I have work e-mail, Yahoo I, Yahoo II, Facebook, and Ashley Madison.  Wow, I guess we have the house, a condo at the beach, and a chalet in the mountains.  And, more importantly, we are getting close to acquiring the needed vehicles for executing a proper affair!

Of course after meeting someone on Ashley Madison I start to assume that they may take offense if they log on and see I was just there about 1 hour ago simply because curiosity got the better of me!  So I get another Ashley Madison account just in case I find someone that is too enticing to pass up.

Btw, rip off alert - Ashley Madison will charge you 25 credits for transferring credits accross accounts!

So now I have work e-mail, Yahoo I, Yahoo II, Facebook, Ashley Madison I, and Ashley Madison II.  And I won’t even talk about the Married but Playing and AFF type accounts as I found them to be worthless pretty quickly and thus moved on.  And yes, BINGO - we have our first success on AM!  But, as with so many things in life success is really never the end, it just shows us the doors to more opportunities!

Then about 8 months ago I started blogging.  I originally had my blog connected to my Yahoo e-mail account.  Quickly, however, I found that upon responding to a comment the receiver could see my name and the information I had on my Yahoo account.  That info might have been relevant to a certain chosen lady I was pursuing in my area but wasn’t exactly something I needed to share with someone from Seattle or Bangladesh!  Additionally, at present, I couldn’t chat with any of my blog friends so I had some significant challenges.  So I got my first Gmail address.

So now I have work e-mail, Yahoo I, Yahoo II, Facebook, Ashley Madison I, Ashley Madison II, and Gmail.  OMG, that's like a home, beach house, ski chalet, and private mischief condo in Arlington!  Hey, I'm starting to sound like a congressman - yeah, I've almost arrived!

But wait!  I start to notice that a lot of bloggers have Facebook accounts.  Wow, I would love to be Riff Dog’s friend.  But I certainly can’t “friend” Riff from my personal Anthony Weiner Facebook (that’s not actually my name, btw)!  So the other day I get the bright idea to start a Ryan Beaumont Facebook account.

So now I have work e-mail, Yahoo I, Yahoo II, Facebook I, Facebook II, Ashley Madison I, Ashley Madison II, and Gmail.  Wow!  Now I've gone way beyond time share or second home; we are now into the rhelm of one of those real estate Ponzi-like schemes sort of like the ones Ponch from CHiP's sells on TV.

I guess the only thing left is Twitter.  But I guess I still have Presidential aspiration so maybe I should hold off on that venue for now – you guys aren’t going to sell me out if you ever see me on FOX or MSNBC are you? J

But, you know, I still forget to get the right stuff Shannon wants from the store on the way home from work!  And from this blog it appears I still just get laid about 2 times a month.  L

Oh well, C’est la vie!

How many address do y’all have???

When people say, 'She's got everything', I've got one answer - I haven't had tomorrow.

Elizabeth Taylor died earlier this morning.  What a beautiful woman and what a life!

Above is a quote from her.  Of course never forget to live in the present but also don't forget about making sure tomorrow is going to be good as well.

This Sucks!

Just a quick post today and nothing about Ashley Madison, music, or sex.  My weekend had the following incidents:

1.     Window busts as child opens & gust of wind catches, thank god child not harmed other than small cut.
2.     Garage door brace and bolts pop off imobilizing door.
3.     While cleaning basement find standing water in corner.

So I was able to gingerly remove broken glass and then remove window from frame.  I had some construction plastic so I was able to duct tape (greatist invention) 2 layers of plastic to frame with good success.  Child patched up as well.  Will take window to get glass replaced later today.

I threaded a coat hanger through door and through brace of pulley on garage door and door now works -good enough for government work as they say :)

Peeled back insulation from wall, worried about crack in foundation.  Luckily it was only pin prick leak in water pipe for outdoor faucet.  Will have to call insurance later this morning.

Oh well, other daughter won basketball game on Sunday.  She is cute and plucky and plays tenacious "D."  To use a football term she is a "shut down corner" on defense.

All in a days work as they say!  I guess us guys still have some uses :)
